| Greg Chang was born in Los Angeles
California and grew up fishing and surfing the Pacific Ocean. His most fond memories of
fishing were the history and philosophy lessons taught by the old men who haunted the piers at night and who always had a piece
of bait and a story to tell for a young man with a rod and an ear to listen. |

| In his teen years he began fishing for trout in the Sierra's
and Bass in the central valley lakes. A brief break was taken from fishing to serve as an
Army Ranger primarily from Ft. Lewis Washington where his love of the Pacific Northwest began. He began fly fishing almost immediately after leaving the Army and
learned the craft on what is still his home water on the Yakima river. Under the tutelage of many great fly fishers, not the least of
which was Bruce Skotland who passed on more about dry fly fishing than any book or video, he was taken quickly through the
learning curve and was exposed to the right way of doing things and avoiding the usual pitfalls
and bad habits. The next logical step
was to become a guide and he became one of the lucky people that managed to put being a trout bum to good use by working his
way through college as a guide eventually getting his b.s. in economics (not the b.s. he is usually know for). |
|
| His fly fishing addiction has taken him from Montana to Fiji and many points in between.
Greg is currently writing screenplays and fishing and Guiding as much as
possible. |
