What To Bring: Your gear requirements are minimal: A fishing licence, brimmed hat, polarized sunglasses and clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. You can call or email us for advice before your trip on what clothing to bring or check weather conditions here. Always bring more than you think that you will need, being comfortable is essential for an enjoyable day. We do have extra raincoats on the boat should the need arise. Waders are useful in cooler weather (we wade wet in the summer) and will expand the areas in which we can fish but are not essential, we can generally get you in and out of the boat without getting your feet wet. Waders will however help keep you dry on rainy days. Most clients bring their own rods, but we  provide them at no cost if needed.

Can I really catch Trout on a fly?  ‘Fly Fishing’ can be an intimidating term and the sport at it’s highest levels does require quite a bit of knowledge and skill and years of dedication in acquiring them. And there is no end to that quest. But yes, you can. Our Guides have been teaching clients of all skill levels to Fly Fish for a combined 40+ years. Beginners will gain the skills required to have a successful day on the river and more experience anglers will add to their repertoire of Fly Fishing skills.

How do we fish: Most fishing is done from a drift boat, either on the move or anchored. We float 2 to 15 miles during the day, depending on water conditions, time of year and the type of fishing.
