$325 for 1 or 2 anglers - February 15 - April 15 This is a trip for 1 or 2 and includes: 6 to 7 hours on the water, lunches, beverages, rods, leaders, tippets, flies and expert on the water instruction. We typically nymph in February, using Skwala patterns, San Juan worms and an assortment of smaller nymphs. By late February or early March we nymph until 1 PM or so and then switch to dry flies, although there are days when we can throw dry flies all day. Skwala stoneflies generally emerge from late February or early March through mid April, BWOs from late February through April and March Browns from late March through early May. The timing, size and duration of these Hatches can vary quite a bit from year to year due to weather, water temps and other factors. The Skwala hatch is the centerpiece of early season dry fly fishing on the Yakima and typically produces more and bigger fish, but the BWO and March Brown emergences can be very good. Runoff can be an issue from late winter through spring. If the Yakima is in poor condition, and your guide feels that the trip should be canceled, we will refund your payments or reschedule your trip for a later date at the spring special price.
